Life's Little Instructions

I was in the bathroom at a restaurant tonight and saw these thoughtful "Life's Little Instructions" posted. You all know I love things like this, so I decided I would start sharing a few of these with you from time to time.
With that being said - here's a bit of food for thought for today...
Sing in the shower.
Treat everyone you meet the way you want to be treated.
Watch a sunset at least once a year.
Leave the toilet seat in the down position.
Never refuse homemade brownies.
Compliment 3 people every day.
Keep things simple.

3 years and counting :)

Happy Anniversary Pop.

I am not quite sure where the last 3 years flew off to, but I am so lucky to spend every day of my life with you. Thank you for continuing to be my biggest fan just like we promised in our wedding vows.

I am so happy that I got to marry you.

Snow Ball Fight!

It snowed again this weekend, if I forgot to tell you.  We had fun playing in it and had a few snow ball fights too.  I tried to hide in the 4 runner while the fight was real intense, but somehow got creamed in there too, so it didn't turn out to be a very good plan.
When we finished playing Will, while out of breath, said -
"A Family that Plays Together, Stays Together".
of course, that made me laugh pretty hard.

Happy

It's Sunday night.  I just  realized how comfortable and perfect my surroundings are right now.  My belly is full from an early Thanksgiving dinner with good friends.  The fire is lit.  I am curled up under my favorite blanket reading the new Martha magazine.  I longed to have a family member close by for so long and now Will is here - sitting on the couch beside me, watching soccer, and laughing with Pop.  Life is good and I am happy.

Happy Birthday, Grandaddy!

5 Reasons my grandaddy is the best grandaddy in the world.
  1. He always tells me I get prettier by the day.
  2. He used to tape cheerleading competitions off tv for my sister and I when we didn't have cable at home (he understood how much we loved it).
  3. He is the most unselfish person I know.
  4. He has loved my grandmother since they got married at age 15.
  5. He has 10 grandchildren and makes us all feel equally important.
Happy Birthday Grandaddy, I hope your day is great!

Happy Everything!

Some of you who visit the Green household or the blog very often are aware of the joy my
Happy Everything platter brings to my everyday life.  I love changing the display for each season and quite honestly find myself gazing at it from time to time while home.

I love EVERYTHING this company makes, if only I could afford it all. *Sigh*  I thought it made perfect sense to share some of the items I've been dreaming of owning lately.  Perhaps some Christmas gift ideas for the special people in your life??

Everyone loves a personalized Christmas ornament, especially when they are this cute.

Maybe a Happy Everything platter for yourself?

For the college football fan in your life...Go Dawgs!

or these precious measuring spoons to spice up your already adorable kitchen.

A monogrammed ornament sounds perfect for a new baby boy or girl celebrating their first Christmas.

or this little ceramic plaque that reminds you to count your blessings and give thanks this season!

If any of the above pretties strike your fancy, visit here.

Until next time, Happy Everything!

Do you remember?

Do you remember when we first met? I sure do
It was some time in early September
Though you were lazy about it, you made me wait around

I was so crazy about you, I didn't mind

So I was late for class, I locked my bike to yours
It wasn't hard to find, you'd painted flowers on
Guess that I was afraid that if you rolled away
You might not roll back my direction real soon

Well, I was crazy about you then and now
The craziest thing of all, over ten years have gone by
And you're still mine, we're locked in time
Let's rewind

Well all these times they come and go
And alone don't seem so long
Over ten years have gone by
We can't rewind, we're locked in time
But you're still mine
Do you remember?

It's a Beautiful Day!

Only in Colorado

can you golf

two days after it snows 18 inches.

1 stroke down, Will loses by half an inch.

Lunch on Will, good thing it was Taco Bell.
Thanks for remembering to take pictures, boys!
